Building on the success of its Chinatown location, The Working Capitol announces the opening of its newest coworking and lifestyle space, located on Robinson Road in Singapore’s Central Business District.
This new location is a response to local and regional demand for greater diversity of working options, including a wider array of inspiring, collaborative spaces and increased exposure to cross-industry networks.
Occupying approximately 55,000 sft across 11 floors at 140 Robinson Road, The Working Capitol’s latest space provides options for businesses ranging from 1-200 people. Hot desks, private offices, and duplex penthouses are available.
Some levels will be fully dedicated to a single organisation, with other floors containing a mix of private workspaces for smaller companies, permanent desks in an open-plan environment, and hot desking options for individuals and teams.
Stemming from The Working Capitol’s in-house research on optimal working environments, custom-designed areas for collaboration as well as quiet spaces and private meeting rooms will be accessible to members.
Lifestyle elements, including exciting food and beverage options, a 20-meter outdoor lap pool, a gym space run by a boutique fitness provider, a sky garden, a bar and a member’s lounge will be available. Events will be a core component of The Working Capitol on Robinson, with space available for hire and areas set aside for regular member gatherings.
Ben Gattie, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said, “All along, it’s been our vision to help democratise the working experience for companies of all sizes. Adding The Working Capitol on Robinson to our network gives an even greater range of companies the chance to experience a beautifully designed, dynamic work environment. We’re delivering on our desire to help large organisations have greater access to start-up mindsets, and to give smaller companies the resources they need to grow and thrive.”
Saranta Gattie, Co-Founder and Chief Culture Officer, said, “Since we opened almost two years ago, The Working Capitol community has become a platform for people, ideas, and businesses to grow. By expanding to Robinson Road, we’re giving more individuals and businesses the chance to experience the vibrancy and diversity that has come to define our culture. It’s an honour to help shape a space that we believe will positively impact the way Singapore works.”
Initial members of The Working Capitol on Robinson include a fintech lab by RHB Bank and a 100-person tech unicorn situated across an entire floor. In addition, businesses including healthcare organisations, property companies and educational institutions have expressed interest in basing all or part of their teams in The Working Capitol.
This demand maps to regional and global trends: More and more large, traditional institutions are realizing the business benefits of running their operations out of coworking environments.
