Marriott International has been selected as a Best Practices Company for developing and recruiting Asian Pacific Americans.

Asia Society, a leading non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about Asian culture through education around the world, presented Marriott International three awards for its Diversity, Market Opportunities and Promoting Asian American Women.

The company was presented the awards on June 9th during Asia Society’s annual Diversity Leadership Forum at the organization’s headquarters in New York City.

Asia Society identifies companies for this recognition through the 2016 Asian Pacific American Corporate Survey. Based on the results, the organization then selected companies that have established outstanding models for creating leadership opportunities and professional development for Asian Pacific American Employees.

“At Marriott International, providing all of our associates with a world of opportunity to grow and succeed in their career is part of our company’s foundation,” said David Rodriguez, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer.

Marriott has consistently championed diversity and inclusion. The company has been recognized for its talent development programs in the past and has landed on several “Best Places to Work” lists.

Previous awards include LATINA Style Company of the Year, National Association for Female Executives Top 10 Companies for Executive Women, DiversityInc Top 50 Companies, 100 percent score on Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, and World’s Best Multinational Workplaces as named by Great Place to Work®.
