One in every five people owns a Smartphone, that’s more than one billion people. Our devices have become an extension of ourselves; they are company in some of the most monumental, meaningful and intimate experiences of our lives. We bring them to the bathroom. We keep them near us while we sleep. We invite them to dinner. And now we’ve gone to the next level.

Now recruiters can find top talent; talent that is just at their fingertips. 9 out of 10 job seekers are now using mobile to start their job search, according research carried out by Glass Door recently.

These stats are some of the reasons why a brand new app called, Step Ladder, has been created by the tech company Tinyyo and Recruitment Agency Adam Butler Consultancy. This app is set to revolutionise the recruitment industry in a bid to help recruiters win the race in engaging top talent.

Step Ladder App – launches a brand new recruitment app described as “Tinder for Recruitment.” Step Ladder is one of the reasons why recruiters and HR professionals should be embracing “mobile” in their Talent Acquisition Strategies.

This app is simplifying the recruitment process for both the candidates and employers and is set to revolutionise the industry with HR teams considering new mobile recruiting strategies.

Adam Butler, founder of mobile job search app Step Ladder said:

“We know that job seekers want a simple route to express an interest in a job once they have identified the opportunity. We are not suggesting that this quick route to engagement should replace a rigorous recruitment and selection strategy, simply that employers should remove as many barriers as possible to get an expression of interest from a job seeker so that they can start the follow up process.”

The BETA version of the Step Ladder app was launched two weeks ago and has garnered a lot of interest from companies within the healthcare and education sectors. The team behind development of this Step Ladder App for more than 6 months was excited to pre-launch the app in the North West, covering jobs and employers in cities such as Chester, Liverpool, and Manchester.

Adam continued: “We see the attraction of staff very much like the process of dating, matching the right person to the company. We took inspiration for the matching principles and app functionality from Tinder, the very successful and infamous dating app. Nobody on Tinder is expecting to find love without first meeting the person they’ve shown an interest in, but the experience within the app allows you to find individuals that could be a good match – and it’s the same with Step Ladder app. Job Seekers and Employers can quickly review one another and request more information. From there a partnership can be established, but they will only find out if this is possible once they meet and find out more about one another.”

One thing is for sure, mobile technology is here to stay, and if you are interested in winning the “war for talent” by attracting the best staff then you should be embracing this opportunity quickly to stay ahead of the competition.

The app is available on the Apple app store and the Google Play store for download. The Step Ladder app is available to candidates and recruiters looking for a professional partnership, quickly and efficiently. It is currently under its BETA launch.
