At most major career fairs, job seekers are overwhelmed with options: dozens of companies and exhibitors, countless vacancies, days of talks and seminars. Ekspo Maukerja, now in its third year, keeps it focused and fast: only 10 selected companies from various key industries, marathon interview sessions with at least 3,000 job seekers, and hiring results within 24 hours. All in just one day!

Ekspo Maukerja 2017 – KL& Selangor Edition will be held on 15 April, 2017 at the newly opened KL Gateway Mall. Entry for this highly-effective career fair is free.

Speaking about their strategy to facilitate fast hiring, Ray Teng, CEO of AJobThing, the expo organizer says, “We believe an effective career fair is one which gets down to business and gets the hiring done. No mass resume drops or waiting months for results, job seekers will get real face-time with potential employers and they’ll know if they’re hired within 24 hours.”EkspoMaukerja17_Poster

Teng also stresses on the importance of the expo in boosting employment for the B40 category, “In fact, 41 percent of our attendees’ minimum education level is SPM and below, and 32 percent at diploma-level. With a focus on high-demand entry and junior-level vacancies, Ekspo Maukerja has all the right jobs for them.”

Their formula has resulted in an industry-high 30 percent success hiring rate, and the 2017 edition aims to create an estimated RM2.7million in job value with as many as 1,500 hires.

Featured companies this year include Sunway Theme Parks, AEON CO. (M) BHD, 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and many more. This expo is also effective for bulk hiring as each company can interview more than 100 applicants, while job seekers can attend as many as five interviews with various companies during the event.EkspoMaukerja16_body_image_2

Junior executive-level positions are also available and complimentary activities such as career consultation and comprehensive job listings. The expo caters to job opportunities in the Klang Valley area and is easily accessible by public transport (next to KL Gateway – Universiti LRT station).

Due to popular demand, the KL & Selangor Edition will be the start of a nationwide effort to organize an expo in each state. For more information about this fair, please visit: http://ekspo.maukerja.my/. You can also watch videos of last year and hear participants narrate their experiences.
