#1 SHRM Foundation Scholarship

SHRM scholarship offers education scholarship for both graduate and undergraduate students, as well as scholarship for the Assurance of Learning Assessment. 14 undergraduate and graduate scholarship, totalling over US$25,000. The application period is August 1 through November 1.

The eligibility to apply for the scholarship include the following points:

  • Current SHRM member (professional or student)
  • University is a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
  • Degree program is HR-related such as business, psychology, or HR
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, or if not yet enrolled, an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

#2 SHRM Certification Scholarship

Another alternative scholarship from SHRM is certification scholarship. This scholarship is to gain certification with 220 scholarships distributed annually. Application opens on June 1st to September 1st.

The eligibility includes:

  • Current SHRM member and must be active when applying and throughout the year in which you receive the award
  • Meet eligibility requirements for SHRM certification
  • Plan to sit for the exam within 12 months after the scholarship notification date
  • Not currently receiving any organisational support or reimbursement for SHRM certification exam and preparation fees

#3 JDS Scholarship

JDS supports HRS by providing young leaders from target countries with a full scholarship for graduate degrees in top Japanese Universities. JDS programs offer a Master’s Degree in various fields in social science depending on the priority development issues of each target country. A limited number of Doctoral Degrees is available for Laos, Myanmar, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.

Eligible candidates for the PhD program are limited to students from those countries that have successfully completed their Master’s degree under the JDS program. JDS students from other countries will be invited to apply for the PhD program, depending on the results of the needs assessments in each respective target countries.

#4 Japanese Government Scholarship

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students under the Japanese government scholarship program. Field of study includes social sciences and humanities and natural sciences.

The scholarship includes tuition and other fees, allowance of 117,000 yen per month, an additional monthly stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be provided to those undertaking study or research in specially designated regions, and travel costs to and from Japan. The period of the scholarship will last for five years, including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to provide upon arrival in Japan.

The eligibility includes:

  • Applicants must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan and is not holding Japanese nationality.
  • Applicants, in principle, must have been born between April 2, 1995 and April 1, 2003.
  • Applicants must have completed 12 years of schooling in countries other than Japan.
  • Applicants must be willing to learn Japanese.
  • Applicants must submit a health certificate in the prescribed format signed by a physician attesting that the applicant has no physical or mental conditions hindering the applicant’s study in Japan.
  • Applicants shall, in principle, obtain a Student visa at the Japanese diplomatic mission located in the applicant’s country of nationality, enter Japan with the residence status of Students.

#5 Turkiye Burslari

Turkiye Burslari offers scholarship program in any field, including business and human resources. Their program covers any degrees of study. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend, full tuition fees, free 1-year Turkish language course, free state-run dormitory accommodation, round-trip air ticket and health insurance.

The edibility includes:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than Turkey
  • Not be a registered student in Turkish universities at the level of study you are applying
  • Have graduated or are likely to graduate from  an institution
  • Age eligibility depends on the degrees of study you apply
  • Have at least specified cumulative grade point average, diploma grade, national exam or international exam score
  • Be in good health

#6 Humphrey Fellowship

Humphrey Fellowship program offers a fully-funded scholarship for international students who want to study in the USA. The Fellowship provides for payment of tuition and fees at the assigned host university, pre-academic English language training (if required), living allowance, accident and sickness coverage, book allowance, one-time computer subsidy, air travel, a professional development allowance for professional activities. The field of study includes HRM, natural resource management, English, finance, public policy, and more.

The eligibility includes:

  • Must be an undergraduate (first university or bachelor’s) degree
  • Have a minimum of five years if full-time, professional experience
  • Limited or no prior experience in the U.S.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Have a record of public service in the community
  • Able to speak English

#7 The Chris Argyris Scholarship

The program offers 50 percent of tuition fees for the MSc in Strategic HRM program. The university is privately run by an academic institution in Greece. The scholarship is awarded in the field of Organisation Behaviour.

The eligibility includes:

  • Hold a BA degree – provided evidence of excellent command of the English language
  • Need to be currently employed or self-employed
  • A minimum GMAT score of 500 and above will strengthen the application for the MSc in Strategic HRM program.

#8 Cyprus International Institute of Management Scholarship

The program offers seven full scholarships worth € 82,000 and 50 partial scholarships. The scholarship is open to both Cyprus and international students for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduates. The study subjects include one full scholarship which is available for each of the following programmes: Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Sector Management (MPS,M), MSc in Management, MSc in Financial Services, MSc in Human Resource Management and MSc in Educational Leadership and Administration.

The scholarship will be awarded strictly on merit to candidates who demonstrate an excellent combination of:

  • Educational background
  • Personal qualities
  • Success in an interview
  • Candidate for MBA and MPSM need to have a minimum of 3 years work experience.
