Step 1 Planning 

In this step, you should come up with a topic that will be discussed, objectives, and goals you want to achieve. You should also consider your audience, workshop size, time availability, activities, break time, a material used, participant’s time (when they can talk with one another and/or ask questions to the presenter), presentation (who and what are the presenter niche). 

Step 2 Preparation  

After jotting down a plan, you will need room to conduct the event. Then, after getting the space you need, do prepare the following points. 

  • Bring everything you need such as books, LCD, handbooks, agenda, list, etc. 
  • Prepare all the equipment you’ll need 
  • Make materials and hand-outs as attractive and interesting as possible 
  • Be overprepared. For example, make sure all the equipment has its own alternative or come 1 or 2 hours early before the workshop is opened. It is better to be overprepared than underprepared. 
  • Create an evaluation form that people can fill out quickly. It can be in an online form or paper. 
  • Prepare every document needed such as a certificate for participants if any
  • Have a good night’s sleep before the day 
Step 3 Implementation  

A workshop, especially a large one, includes presentation and activities as well as closures. When implementing all of this, be sure to keep track of time, get everyone ready (the presenter, MC, or participants), and at the end of the closure, ask for feedback on ideas, techniques, methods to help you with the next workshop. 

Step 4 Follow-up
