Randstad is proud and delighted to announce the win of two awards at the prestigious Global Recruiter Asia Pacific Industry Awards 2016 last week for – Best Large Recruitment Business and for the Best Use of Social Media.

The awards were held at the PARK ROYAL on Pickering in Singapore, and were attended by many recruitment industry leaders from across the region.

The Best Large Recruitment Business award comes after several years of sustained and accelerated growth for the Randstad business in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. This growth is not solely based on adding more headcounts into the business, often a quick and effective way of increasing revenue.

Instead, consultants at Randstad, through in-depth customised training have become increasingly efficient and more productive. This increased efficiency in terms of gross profit per consultant was crucial in ensuring sustainable business growth in the longer term.

In addition, as a way of adding value to clients and candidates alike, Randstad developed original, specialist and high value content to differentiate the brand, its service offering and recruiters with its suite of high level thought leadership reports, which went beyond the typical salary surveys produced by recruitment companies with international presence.

This plethora of content was leveraged on social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The Best Use of Social Media award was won following the exponential growth in engagement and follower numbers across all of Randstad’s online social media platforms.

Managing Director for Randstad Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, Michael Smith noted, “At Randstad, we are highly committed to our mission of ‘shaping the world of work’. This encompasses every single thing we do – from helping candidates find their dream job to empowering organisations to achieve their goals – be it through direct interaction with our consultants, or through our thought-leadership initiatives.”

Most recently, we have been embracing a ‘Tech and Touch’ vision – where we focus our efforts into the integration of digital into all aspects of our business. This digital integration is changing how we engage and work with our clients, and transforming the way our corporate support teams support the business.

“We’re incredibly proud to say that it is through this strong support of our clients and candidates, as well as the hard work and passion of all our employees, that has allowed us to stand out from the competition and be recognised as a leader in the recruitment space – both offline and online,” added Smith.
