DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has once again been recognized as one of the world’s leading employers. The company was one of just eight companies to be certified as a Top Employer Global 2016.
For the second year running, DHL was also the only company to be certified in every continent around the world. The Top Employers Global Certification is a program organized by the Top Employers Institute, designed to recognize employers that globally create the optimal conditions for their employees to develop, professionally and personally.
DHL Express CEO Ken Allen said: “We are delighted to once again be recognized as a global Top Employer by Top Employers Institute. With around 90,000 employees in 220 countries and territories worldwide, DHL Express places its people right at the center of our strategy.”
“We have invested significantly in creating and celebrating a winning culture, and we have seen first-hand the positive impact that this has had on our business performance. Thanks to our dedicated, engaged people around the world, DHL has continuously strengthened its position as the global leader in international express delivery in recent years.”
“It is a great honor to receive this recognition again,” said Regine Buettner, Executive Vice President, HR Global & Europe, DHL Express. “At DHL Express, it is our motivated people who define great service in the eyes of our customers, and it is our motivated people who ensure that we stay ahead of the competition. We have put in place a comprehensive range of initiatives and measures – from regular, small gestures of appreciation for front-line employees to spectacular employee of the year recognition events – that engage employees at all levels in our business and enhance our appeal as an employer.”
Top Employers Institute’s CEO David Plink said: “Top Employers Institute applies an objective, rigorous process in identifying and certifying those organizations that truly have excellent conditions in place for their people to develop. We congratulate DHL Express for their consistency in achieving Top Employer Global Certification for the second consecutive year and for the clear commitment this demonstrates to pursuing HR excellence across all continents.”
As part of the Top Employer Global 2016 process, DHL Express was certified as a Top Employer individually in 43 countries across all continents, more than any other of the organizations that were certified by Top Employer Institute worldwide. The company scored particularly highly for talent strategy, leadership development, performance management and learning & development.
