The professional network LinkedIn on Tuesday (Sept 18) announced the 2018 Top Startups List for India, revealing 25 most sought-after young companies in the country by professionals. The 5-year-old hospitality startup OYO that has climbed to be India’s largest hotel network is claiming the first place, followed by Wellness startup Cure.Fit and on-demand delivery service dunzo.in in the rankings list this year.
LinkedIn Top Startups list was generated from the data of LinkedIn India’s more than 50 million members and focused in on four pillars that include employee growth, jobseeker interest, the level of professional engagement with the company and its employees, as well as how well the startup pulled talent.
When it comes to the region, the report suggested that Bengaluru has emerged as a major hub for local startups to grow. Of the 25 companies on the list, 11 are headquartered in Bengaluru, seven in Mumbai, three in Gurugram, while two each in New Delhi and Pune.
From health tech, hospitality, insurance, and consumer services, here are the top 25 companies that represent the exciting growth of India’s startup environment in 2018:
